Separation Anxiety

Maltese dogs are people dogs, they just love to be part of a family and keep each other company and surely they don’t do good being by themselves. whenever the dog is left alone he may start whining, chewing, barking or some other Maltese Problems to let you know how they feel, so try not to give them much attention when you leave home. Is not a good idea to leave and say good bye to your dog because it will feel your emotions and act upon that feeling, your dog will also know that you don’t like to leave it alone, and it will react to that emotion too.

Aggression

Aggression sometimes comes when they were attacked by other dog or animal when they were puppies, it is a natural instinct to safeguard their place whenever an unknown person or other animal comes close to them, aggression is part of those Maltese Problems that you should handle immediately. Aggression is a natural drive, but you have to be the pack leader and let your Maltese dog know that aggression is a bad thing. When addressing aggressive problems, you have to be very prudently when doing it.

Digging

All dogs love to dig because is their natural instinct, in the wild they had to make a cave to live and to hide from other animals or to keep their newborns safe. In the civilized world they just don’t to dig a cave to live in but they still dig because of their instinct. You have to give your dog something else to do instead of these unwanted Maltese Problems, like exercising it.

Some obedience training will be the perfect way to break their digging problems since they will teach your dog new commands.

Barking

Barking is probably one of the most annoying issues with all dogs, nobody likes to listen to an euphoric dog who is barking all the time and just for no reason at all, if this is your Maltese case then you have a problem and you should take care of it as soon as possible. Maltese dogs bark when they are being aggressive too or just when they feel anxious. There is no way to stop dogs barking completely, but with the right training you sure can minimize these Maltese Problems, train your dog to bark when it is needed, but not to bark when it is going to be disturbing.

Chewing

Another one of Maltese problems is chewing, if your dog has this bad habit of chewing into new things around your home, you can get some kind of product to spray on things you don’t want it to chew, these products are unpleasant to a dog taste and you can find them at any pet store, also train your dog the "leave it" command this way it will be easier to stop that chewing behavior.
